LA-based photographer Armen Poghosyan cruises the neighborhood from that in-between zone, close enough to know the rhythm, far enough to still feel the static. He moves through the everyday resin of the sidewalk and weird silence between people who share space but not always belonging. Even after years of being folded into the city, Poghosyan’s eye stays slightly off-grid. He’s working the error between access and distance, between having roots in the place and still feeling like a signal coming from somewhere else. His outsider position is the whole frequency. It becomes a way to read the city from the periphery, where identity and belonging get remixed.
